- 1) In olden times the people use cure sores and other pains with weeds.A cure for a sore mouth is to rub a piece of an (Alder?) stick on it. The green skin is to be taken off it and the white skin to be put on your mouth.2) A dcok-leaf is cure for a sting of a nettle. As soon as you get the sting rub the stem of the dock-leaf on it. It takes the sting away forever.3) (?) is a cure for boils. The juice is to be taken from the (?). It is to be put on a cloth and rubbed on the boils.4) (Horehound?) is a cure for a cut. The milky juice is to be taken out and put on the cut.
