    Long ago people used to dance on the cross-roads...

    who he was and that is so strange in a country place. All of a sudden the strange boy and the girl he was dancing with began to rise off the ground in a blaze of flame. They went up in the clouds and were never seen again. It is said that bits of the girl's clothes were found in anold rath nearby. It was said that the youngman was the devil.
