There is another old rath in a field in Ballylane belonging to Fitzpatricks, but before those people bought this farm, other people by the name of Hensons lived there.
One day Mr. Henson wanted the men that was working in the place to level the rath but they refused him and then he went himself to dig it. The year after he levelled the rath, all his stock perished and he could not keep anything at all because everything died on him.
Although he levelled the rath real well, what ever he sowed in the ground the mark of the rath would keep there and form a circle just like the rath before it was levelled at all and it is there still.
