Wexford and the rich rolling meadows of East Waterford, with their herds of kine and oxen. Looking from East to West the distant hills of South Leinster and East Munster meets the view, their purple peaks hanging like rich curtains on the verge of the horizon. At his feet to the South lies the broad expanse of Waterford Harbour. Outside the Tower of Hook he can see the outlines of the great ocean liners as they dash along to catch up the trade of two worlds.
