Ar an leathanach seo
- Strides and Jerks.This is played with any number of children and is also played with the ball.
A child will get the ball and go a piece away from the rest.
This person will throw up the ball and call out someones name.
The child whose name was called will go for the ball while the rest run away and when the ball is got that person will say "Stop"!
When all are stopped the child with the ball fires it at the nearest one. If it hits her she is "sixpence" and out of the game, but if she stirs toavoid being hit she is a "penny".
Who ever lasts the longest without being hit wins the game.Annie Neville
