two o'clock in the morning and the boy was coming on whistling when he heard a voice form the new grave saying, "Oh the cold, the cold, have pity on me".
He stood for a minute and then picked up one of the shovels that were outside the grave.
He three in a few shovelfuls of clay and then said, "Now maybe that'll (?) you", and went off.
The two men jumped up as quick as they could and ran home.
I got my story from my Mother Josephine Murphy.
