    present but there is an old man named Tom Quirke living in Clonasheogue who was a shoe-maker but he is too old now and only repairs them.
    There are lots of cobblers in the district but in olden times there were twice as many shoemakers and broguemakers and boots were not imported.
    In the town of Enniscorthy there were two tanneries one at a place still called the "Tan Yard Lane" right beside Bolgers the drapers in Rafter Street.
    After this, this place was used as a foundry by people named Kavanagh but there is no work carried on in that place now.
