  1. "Fairy Forts"
    There are some "Fairy Forts" in this district. They are known mostly as "Forts and Raths". There is one on the town-land of Kilcorrel. It is a deep hollow , the shape of a ring in the bottom with a high embankment which is circular in shape . Near it are trees and there is grass growing around it.
    Some years ago a young boy named Pat Quirke of Kilcorrel went to cut a hurl-stick
