    Slaney and goes to Killurin and back by the roadside.
    The "Pond field" wood extends for about three miles.
    The river Slaney washes the borders of the townland.
    There is one lake in Tykillen, it has a small island on the centre of it and a little thatched house on it
    It is a hand made lake and fish were brought from other counties to it.
    There are four streams around here and they all join at the ram which supplies water for Tykillen House.
    There are other streams which are connected with each other at Glanine and are tributaries of the Slaney.
