    104 yrs ago.
    Notes from J Carberry Kitterbeg 70yrs whose father & uncle were the heroes of the occasion.
    The 'San Salvador' was a very fine sailing ship / sailing from France to England. She was blown up Channel
    She carried a expensive Cargo and was wrecked off this Coast - off the Roosk Point in an xmas Eve.
    Carberry's Father got a bronze medal for life saving in the occasion, while his uncle got a gold medal
    The King of Norway sent these tokens of gratitude & to reward their bravery. All except one man were saved, and when the poor men came in they knelt down & kissed the ground.
