múileach:- mud (he was covered all over with múileach)
Gráinneóg: Hedgehog
Corr iasg:- a fishing bird
mionán-gabhar:- pronounced "minny-gower".
Fraochán: the "fraughan" (frocken pron.) berries.
Caipín:- pron. caubeen - a cap or hat in bad state of repair.
maiseach: word seldom used now - applied to girls (She was a fine maiseach girl) It means handsome and rather inclined to stoutness).
Pludach: mud churned up by the trampling of feet of men or animals
gabháil: a "goal" of hay. an armful.
Ruisín:- "He was as ould as Ruisheen" - extremely old.
gradh: I have no gradh for doing that sort of work. (pronounced grá - a long).
Ara:- Arrah, what way are you?
