    Boys and girls around this country make a lot of toys during their spare time. Making a whistle out of a chest-nut first they get the chest-nut and a knife and cut a hole in it and clean it out well and when they have it cleaned out well and when they have it cleaned it is a whistle. Another one is making baskets out of rushes.
    First thing they get five rushes all the same length. Then they plait them one over the other and when they have it finished they put one round the handle to make it strong.
