- There are many forths in this district. These forths were used as burial places for the yeos in 1798. They were never tilled and it is said that men were killed when cutting bushes that sheltered the Rath. There is one in Rossard one in Kyle one in Cromogue. There are stones in it which is said to be headstones over the dead. Some people are afraid to pass near these lonesome places after twelve o'clock at night. There is one thistle in the Rath and a light is placed on it to give light to the fairies to dance.(continues on next page)
