This is a list as follows of "Old Ruins" in this district. Mr Ormond related them to me, his address is.

There are many ruins in Ireland such as Round Towers, Churches and Castles. In every county we find some old ruins. Some of them were burnt or knocked down. This is a list of old ruins in my locality.
Enniscorthy Castle:
There is a castle at Enniscorthy. It was in ruins a long time ago but it has been repaired lately. In the year 1649 Cromwell took Ennisorthy Castle.
Franciscan Friary :
There is a place in Enniscorthy which was called the Franciscan Friary but now-a-day it is called the Abbey. It was founded by Donnell Reagh Kavanagh in the year 1460 and monks lived in it. It is said that the stones were used to build the Cathedral. It stood where the Bank of Ireland now stands and it is said that the manager found human bones and a button while digging his garden.
