    Ballyellis N.S.
Ballyellis School was built about 1841 by John Grey who lived where Patsy Nolan now lives in Drummond Lane
The Parish funds supplied the building material and Grey built it
    for £5.
He was attended to during the building by his wife Ellen.
The floor was then a clay one and the present ceiling was not there originally.
The site was given by Mr Doyle of Ballyellis, a Greatgrandfather of Owen Doyle who is presently attending this school
    James Nolan Ballyconran
I got this story from Mr.
    Thaddeus O'Loughlin of Drummond
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
