    Bread.
    Bread long ago was made from wheaten flour and rye flour. It was made on a griddle as people had no pans. The flour was made locally in olden times. Old people here remember grind-stones. Potato cake was made from cold boiled potatoes mixed with flour. In olden times the bread was baked only once a week. Cakes are marked in squares. They are marked to keep the crust from.
