Once upon a time a man and a woman named Lizzie Finn and John Finn were going to see a sick friend of theirs in a pony and trap. they went along till they came to a certain cross road as they were passing by a big black thing with fiery eyes jumped out over the ditch and followed the car. The man struck it with his whip and it would not go away. The man drove the pony as hard as it could go.
