    Come raise up monuments to those,

    Who beat the foes and threshed the Yoes.
    On many a bloody field.
    Let Father John Murphy be in bronze,
    So he can be easily seen.
    With the noble Bagnel Harvey,
    And Mat Furlong from Raheen.
    In the Bullring of old Wexford town,
    Let this monument be built.
    For here some hundred years ago,
    Some tons of blood were spilt.
    The rotten Yorks and north Corks,
    In the bullring met their fate
    By the hands and Pikes of the Pats and Mikes
    The men of Ninety eight
