Himself an his wife w ent from house to house in an ass' car.
One time the lodged in out house an used to go up on the hill to gather heath to make the brooms.
He would cut a green brier from a gripe an cut the pep out of it.
He would let it wither for a few days, an then he would tie the withered skin neatly around a bunch of heath.
