    An herb called Comfrey is used this way to cure sprains :
    The root of the comfrey is washed, pounded, and made into a poultice which is applied to the sprain.
    The ivy leaf is said to cure corns.
    The Ceannabhán beag is used in the cure of worms. The juice of its leaf is squeezed into water and the person suffering from worms should drink this.
    The milkweed or wartweed is used to cure warts. The juice of this plant applied to a wart is supposed to banish it.
    Alder leaves, placed inside the stocking, cure sore feet.
    A stab of the thorn of the gooseberry bush is used to cure a stye.
    Lairs of turnip slices with sugar between them left for twenty-four hours - the juice of these cures a cough.
