    I heard the people talking about fairy forts that existed in various part of this district, but only one forth exists in my townsland.

    It is said that he never interfered with it because the neighbours told him he would always be unlucky if he did.
    The story of it is that long ago they Irish themselves build a castle there to protect themselves from the English.
    But after a while the castle fell down and there is nothing left there now but the foundation.
    Not long ago I was talking to a man who lives near the fort and he was telling me that the fairies dance around it every night to guard it.
