The treasure is hidden in around hole and a tree grew over it one time but it fell and decayed. The field in which the gold is hidden is covered with stones and bushes. There is a story told of how the gold became hidden there.
We are told a man taught school in the field. One evening the teacher was walking around the hill when he came upon a hole in the ground. In the trunk hole was a trunk of gold and the master brought it to the top of the hill. He made a large hole and buried the treasure.
Next morning he went to where he hid the gold but the trunk had disappeared and he could not find. That night a man saw a small white woman going into the hole and ever since it is believed there is a trunk of gold in the hill.
