The soot. When you see soot falling it is the sign of rain. - Sky. If the sky is black and gets bright around it will be a fine day.
The Moon. If the moon shines very brightly we will have frost.
Birds. If the Curlews are heard roaring people say that they are roaring for rain. If the robin comes to the door in Winter it is a sign of snow. If you see swans flying in the air we will have rain.
