- Travelling Folk.
In my district very few travellers stay in houses or travel from house to house. Long ago some people travelled and stayed in houses. Twelve years ago travellers came to my home. The sold potatoes and sometimes they slept in the barn. Once, a man named Patrick Scott came to my neighbour's house.
He had been in College for many years and he had become insane. When he was leaving the College he got some holy pictures and prayer books to sell. He was not poor and for seven years he travelled around my district selling the holy pictures and Prayer Books. Powers, Gormans and Cravens are the names of the travelling folk who mostly frequent this district.(continues on next page)- Collector
