    Why is a police man like a fisher-man?
    Ans Because one has his beat and the other has his smack.
    What had no soul, got a soul and died without a soul?
    Ans A whale had no soul. When one swallowed Jonas had a soul. When he threw him out on the bank in three days he had no soul any more.
    As I went out in a gap I met my Uncle Davy. I cut off his head and drank his blood and left him lying easy.
    Ans A bottle of Whiskey.
    As I was going to the fair of the mines, I met ten tinkers and their wives. Each tinker had a cat and each cat a kitten and each kitten a coin. How many were going to the fair of the mines?
    Ans One
    Forty sheep, their shepherd and his dog. How many feet is that?
    Ans. Two.
    Why does a cow look over a wall?
    Ans Because she cant look under it.
    Ears but cannot hear. Legs but cannot walk Mouth that cannot eat. What is that?
    Ans A pot.
