    One day my father was hunting near Ballycowan Castle. He was taking a rabbit out of a hole in a hedge when he found a rush candle-stick in the hedge also. There is a place for the rushes. The people long ago used to make candles out of rushes and grease. My father brought it home and put it up safe and took some of the rust off it. He said that one part
