- Wednesday is said to be the luckiest day to get married on. There is a rhyme about the clothes of the bride.
Married in blue your love will be true
Married in black you will wish yourself back
Married in white you have chosen all right
Married in green ashamed to be seen
married in yellow ashamed of your fellow
Married n brown you will live in the town
Married in red you wish yourself dead
Married in pink your spirits will sink
Married in gray you will go far away
The breakfast usually takes place in the brides home. Then they go to the man's house and have great amusement.- Collector
