- There was a fort in Lynally and it is said that if you touched any thing in it something would happen it. There was a man living near the fort and he went to go into it, but he only went some of the way he got afraid he saw a big door and two black cats sitting inside the big door
- There was a fairy forth in Coolanarney in a field which belonged to James Kinnarney. It is said that the fairies were heard dancing and singing and hurling round the forth in olden times. It any on took a bush out of the forth the fairies would come on that night and cry at the door of the person that took it.(continues on next page)
