He went on a piece but still the voices were calling him, so he said to himself he would see for himself who it was that was making fun of him. He left his parcel down on the side of the road and crossed over the fence to search, but he found no one, but he could hear the laughing all the time. At last he came back to the road, and what do you think he saw. The whole road was covered over with parcels of tea and sugar the same as his own so that he could not tell which one belonged to him. He stood looking at them a few minutes and all the time the laughing was going on. At last he stooped down and took home as many of the parcels as he could carry(continues on next page)
