- 5. James Feighery, who lived in the townland of Lackeroe, Kinnitty, Co. Offaly, was good at making wheels. All the people of Lackeroe and Cadamstown used to come to him to get wheels made. He also used to make windows and cars.

- My Grandfather Michael Carry, Knockbarron, parish of Kinnitty, Co. Offaly, used to make candles out of the fat of sheep. He used to render the fat and put it into the candle shape and put a cotton wick in them. He always used them himself.
