- Local Place NamesThere is a place in the townsland of Fortal called "Nailer's Lough". In olden times when there was no machinery for making nails the old people who resided in this place used to make some thousands and thousands of nails. They made their own nails out of nailrods and that is how that place is called "Nailer's Lough". Their names were Patsy Murray and Mary Murray. It is about a hundred years ago since they lived and worked there.Bessie Noblett, Cree School.
