  1. (continued from previous page)
Disappointed myself sure I'd just do the same
He hired with Matt Hannon + straightway he came
    III
He first ploughed the stabbled thro' stones + thro' rocks
And he didn't break more than a dozen of socks
His second adventure was in the ponce field
And he went down to Traynor's to get his plough stealed
    IV
Traynor Knowing him so well he began for to jeer
He said 'Im expecting you worn the whole year
But now as you've come sure Ill do all I can
And in a few days you need care for no man
    5.
Preparations were made + the poles were put up
He took hold of the reins(es) + gave a he-up
He shut up one eye + he quickly took aim
He said If I go crooked Im not for to blame
    6.
He didn't go far till he quite went astray
And he fell to beating Kelly's horse + Mobray
Matt Hannon behind him began for to curse
And says 'Clery have patience you'll make the job worse
    7.
'Your yoke it is bad + the ground it is long
Ill go home for a herring which might make you strong
Now start them again as there's no one in sight
You won't have the middle marked out agin night.
