- There are many very good old cures which are even better than the new ones but a lot of them cannot be recalled now. a very good cure for Jaundice is sorrel leaves made into a stew and given as medecine. A great cure for felon - a swelling on the finger - is to make Hemlock and March Malice into a stew, this is supposed to be a great cure. A cure for scalds is to mix up lime water and sweet oil. A very old cure for Erciplers is to boil flour and new milk together and make into a poultice.
