- Not far from the village of Coolmanagh there is a farmer's house in which a family of Doyles live. Long ago a family of Pelsons lived in it. They were Protestant. Mr Pelson died and the corpse couldn't be got down the stairs, they were so narrow. It was then taken out through the window of the stairs on rope. The window is haunted and if ever there is a glas sput in it, it is bound to be broken. It is a slate window, and it is to be seen there to the present day.
