  1. In the month of February 1923 my Grandfather was awakened in the night by what he thought was a strong wind. On looking out through the window he noticed that the place was very bright. Immediately he jumped out of his bed and when he went out into the yard he discovered that a rick of hay was burning. He soon called the rest of the family and the neighbours. In a very short time the who place was crowded. No great harm was done
