    If it is made the glass becomes clear, and the butter is seen in little pin heads on it. The butter is lifted off the churn with little patters and well washed in a wooden dish. Salt is added to give a nice taste to the butter
    The butter milk is given to the pigs and calves. Around this locality it is not considered lucky to lend any part of the churn on the 1st of May
    Our churn is about three foot high. The top is about three foot wide and the bottom is three foot wide. The sides are round. Our handle is at the front. The step for your foot is at the side. There are several irons on it. There is one big iron on the bottom. There are three big irons on the top and many more around the side.
