    sign of a fierce storm. When cattle play with one another in the fields it is a sign of a snow storm. When the cattle lie under the ditch and wont graze it is a sign of a sleety wind and rain.
    The snipe cries when good weather is near. The Curlew cries when rain is near. You may look out for a snow storm when you see the robin coming in. When starlings fly low it is a sign of rainy weather. When the seabirds fly inland it is a sign of bad weather. When the swallows fly high it is going to be good weather. When the cats sit by the fire it is a sign of a storm. If a cat climbs a tree or scratches at wood it is a sign or rain.
