- There are a good many wild birds in this district such as :- the Curlew, Snipe, Swallow, Starling, Robin, Crow, Magpie and Cuckoo, The Swallow goes from this district when she sees the corn going into the haggard in the month of September.
The Cuckoo also departs from ths district when she sees the first cock of hay up in the month of July.
The Snipe builds her nest in rushes, and the Crow and Magpie build their nest in the tree top. The Starling builds her nest in the house eaves. The Swallow builds her nest in an old shed and the Robin in a fence or a hole in the wall.
