    About sixty years ago there was a great snow storm it did a great deal of damage in the district. There were a great deal of sheep lost on the farmers in the district. A great deal of people could not get out of their houses.
    About 100:years ago in the townsland of Tomnafinogue there was a thunder storm. There was very heavy lightening, and thunder, and rain. There were two cattle standing under a big tree. The lightening struck them and killed them. People by the name of Berkins owned the cattle. They made a hole for them under the tree when the thunder storm was over and buried them in it. It was a terrible heavy storm. The tree went on fire also but the rain put it out. The tree is still to be seen. It is black.
    There was a terrible snow storm about ninety eight years ago. The snow was six feet deep in some
