  1. I have a churn at home I churn twice a week in the Summer and once a week in the winter It is only a very small one and every time I churn I get seven pounds of butter I believe the old churns long ago were much better than the electric churns in our days.
    Weather Lore.
The nearer the ring is to the moon the farer the storm and the farer the ring the nearer the storm.
When the sky appears red over Ballinahinch it is a sign of good weather when red over the sea it is a sign of rainy weather, when red over Douce it is a sign snow and frost
In the evening this redish colour appears.
