    and stockings out of it. Men in this district still make baskets, and creels for carrying turf in. They get some 'sally' rods and steep them in water to make them pliable They then twist them in and out, through each other, and make baskets and creels.
    They also thatch their houses with straw and put 'scallops' in the thatch to keep it in its place.
    There is a lime kiln near Belcoo in which lime is burned.
