    Chickenweed grows over the gardens, and over the crops, it is often given to young chickens.
    Wild rhubarb grows on hard banks.
    Alexander weed is very harmful because it has very long stringy roots, and when it gets into the soil it cannot be got out.
    It takes the nourishment from the soil and impoverishes it.
    Red shank is harmful because it grows very quickly and spreads over the soil, and impoverishes it.
    Buahaillín buidhe usually grows on poor land. It spreads rapidly and if allowed to grow would soon cover a field.
    The dandelion, like the dock, has very long roots, which take a lot of food
