There were three other hedge schools in this district, one in Knockrow, one in Aghaboy, and one in Knockranny. The teachers who taught in them were: Mrs McGoldrick, Mrs Kelly, and Mrs McGovern. On wet days the scholars remained inside, but on fine days school was taught in the open. The teachers got about £30 or £40 per year.
