You can see four forts from this fort. It is in the townland of Keadue.
There is another fort called "Mulligans fort" it is in the townland of "Crossforts". There is one family living at it named "Mulligans" A man went to dig up the fort he had no luck until he left it alone. There was a bush in the middle of it he was cutting it down and he got a thorn in his fingure and he had to get it off. (Got of Frank Mulligan, aged 98 years
There is a fort up beside the mountain and the ditches are built of stones and one day a man drew away the stones and built a shed with them and the shed fell on three calves and killed them. He built it again and it fell on two calves and he had to leaver the stones back where they were. It is in the townland of Fairtown.
There are three forts beside these. They are called "Phairs Forts" because the owners name is "Phair". It is surrounded by whins and you would get it hard to get into them. They are in the townland of Ardamagh.
Another fort is "Duggans" fort. It is called Duggans because the man's name who owned it was "Duggan" but he is dead now. The fort is full of trees and you would think it was a plantation.
There is another fort called "Ruddens". There was a man named "Smith." cutting bushes in that fort and he got a thorn in his fingure and he had to get it off also. (Got of Hugh Mc.Caffery. aged 90 years.)
