- There are very few holy wells in our district. The only one that I know about is Mr. John Brady's well. It is in townland of Billies. The well is about twenty yards from the Cootehill road. The people do not visit the well on certain days because no one was never cured at the well. Father Jim Brady an uncle of John Brady blessed the well, and that is why it is called the holy well.
