- I get five sticks each about six inches long and two inches in diameter, which I call skittles. I put them standing like this

about two feet apart from each other and they are numbered as in the sketch. I get four long sticks each about 14 inches long and two inches in diameter. I call those skittles also. Any number of boys or girls can play this game. Each person must stand about seven yards from the five skittles and throw each of the four long skittles at the five standing ones. The object is to try and knock down as many as possible with each throw. The value of the skittles down is reckoned after each throw. A game of "fourty" or "fifty" or a "hundred" say is played. Each player has four "throws" and if the game is say "fourty" he must make the forty in four "throws". If he gains more than fourty or less than that number he must start over again. the player gaining(continues on next page)- Collector
