  1. Once upon a time there was a man coming home off his ceilidh and it was very late and he was very fond of playing cards. When he was passing by a fort he met fairies. The had a table and a deck of cards and he thought they were his neighbours. They asked him to have a game. He sat down and played the whole night with them. Coming on to break of day there fell a card on the ground. The man stooped to lift it, but instead of the card he saw a cloven foot. He jumped up and ran home and never played cards again.
