- It is said that nettles when boiled and made as tea cure the measles.
Dockens are supposed to cure the sting of a nettle if rubbed on before the air gets at it.
If blue is painted over the sting of a wasp it will cure it.
Comfey roots are good for drawing a swelling.
A piece of a foxes tongue is good for drawing out a thorn.
It is said if you get a snail without looking for it and rub it to warts, and then hang it on a white-thorn bush that when it dies the wart will also die.(continues on next page)
