- Travelling folk still call to our home. They travel from place to place on foot but some of them have donkeys and carts which they travel on.
Some of them are not very poor and they sell tin articles which they make themselves. These folk are never welcome and they do not stay for a night, but they camp along the road.
Most of them take a charity such as a bottle of milk, a plate of meal and a few potatoes. They usually come on the pattern day.
Some of them sell pins, studs, hairslides, combs, lace and many other things. Most people buy some article of them but if the cannot the(continues on next page)
