    asked him would he get a Mass said for him. Then he said that when he was young he promised to get a Mass said for his mother but he never did so he could not go to Heaven until he got the Mass said.
    Long ago the windows were made of wood and they were opened in the day time. The floors in the house were made of clay. Half doors were common in this district in the farm-houses. Turf, peat, logs, dry sods and sticks were used for the fires long ago.
